REVIEW
Q : Please briefly tell us about you, your company and your products and services:
A : Greetings... My name is Eric White and I'm a Graphic Designer, artist, and entrepreneur out of Southern California, currently located in Orange County by way of the Inland Empire. E. White Designs is brand identity creation and development, apparel design and production, design for print, and design for web. My company was officially established in 2009, the year I received acceptance into the University of Redlands where I followed my passion and graduated with a B.A. in Studio Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design.
Q : We were impressed that you managed to use the foiling and spot UV features on both sides of your design. What inspired you to use these two options over others provided by MorningPrint?
A: Thank you. Throughout the design of my business card I did a good amount of research to ensure that the overall aesthetic of my business card was well rounded. I knew I wanted to go with Spot UV on both sides of the business card for balance texture. On the front of my card, all social media logos are Spot UV printed. On the back of the card, I chose to Spot UV print the entire motherboard design so the circuitry of the motherboard is raised to the touch giving my company logo a 3D look.

After going through multiple samples of business cards and paper stocks, the idea of foiling came up and hologram was an instant decision for my company logos on both sides of the card. The hologram foiling gave my card the element of electric energy it needed through the colors it produces once light hits the surface of the material.
Q : It looks like you've completely rebranded from your previous logo. How did you arrive at this concept?
A: In 2006, I established a small Graphic Design/Video Production company called Live Cutz Entertainment as a partnership before I attended college, right around the same time I released my first album with the Urban Poets Crew. The video production company wasn't producing content so I cut that department and changed the company name to E. White Designs. I chose to go with my initials as a monogram logo displaying the letters EWD. The D in my logo is designed to resemble the letter J for my middle name.
Q : What has been your experience using MorningPrint?
A: My overall experience with Morning Print was awesome. I actually went directly to the Irvine, CA location to physically research through samples of business cards, printing techniques and card stocks to insure that the complete aesthetic of the card was welcoming and gave proper representation of my company, selected industry and target market. With the assistance of MorningPrint's staff, the order was placed that same day.
Q : A business card can hold a lot of different information, how did you determine what information to include, and what do you believe are the key components needed for a business card?
A: No matter the industry, a business card must contain the basic information that connects you to the world and vice versa. All information should be organized into a clean hierarchical arrangement that guides the receiver of the business card through reading and digesting the information completely.
Q : Any tips for our clients to consider when they are creating their business cards?
A: Your business card is your sword - keep it sharp.
Q : Anything you wish you would have done differently or do you have any ideas for your next business card?
A: There's nothing I would have done differently with my business card. Through constant research, all the elements of the card came together as intended. From the pencil-sketched thumbnails in the first phases of the design to its execution in Adobe Illustrator, longevity of the card was part of its concept. This business card design will be in rotation for years to come with the exception of service and product updates.
